The Longport Scholarship Fund is proud to announce that no fund monies are derived from Longport taxes, tax payers, or any other public source.  Interest and income from the endowment, as well as a yearly appeal for donations from year-round and seasonal residents, now furnishes the money for awarding scholarship grants to deserving Longport students.

 

Over $200,000 in scholarships have been granted to assist Longport students and their families.  Most awardees are local high school graduates who will enter their first year of college (although some include students currently in college).  Awards are made based on scholastic records, test scores, extracurricular activities, sports participation, work record, and more.

A few things to note:

 

• Donations may be made at any time throughout the year.
   

• Contributions can be made in memory of or in honor of a friend, relative or loved one, and will be listed on this website. 
   

• All donations to our 501(c)(3) corporation are tax deductible and will be acknowledged by us in writing.
